Salary from £62,730-£89,931 DOE + Benefits 

This salary range is across 2 levels internally and will be dependent on experience

We’re looking for a Head of Marketing who can lead and develop the marketing strategy for HX Cover through attracting, converting and retaining customers.

Our mission is to create innovative insurance experiences that transform ordinary trips into extraordinarily good times. We have ambitious growth plans to double our customer base and gross profit contribution to the Holiday Extras Group over the next 5 years. The Head of Marketing will be pivotal in leading and delivering our long-term strategic plan. This includes acquiring more customers through direct channels and improving on and offline conversion and upsell, as well as streamlining and automating our renewals journeys, so more customers stay with us for longer.

The Role

By joining our team you’ll: 

  • Directly manage the HX Cover Direct & Renewals channel P&L, driving efficient budget management and financial success
  • Lead the development and execution of marketing strategies encompassing the entire customer journey, including acquisition, conversion, and retention.
  • Innovate on the digital customer experience, ensuring the seamless purchase, amendment, and renewal of policies 
  • Advocate the merits of HX Cover insurance and protection products, fostering new growth opportunities at a group level
  • Utilise data analytics to deliver clear insights, drive decision-making and anticipate market trends to stay ahead
  • Reimagine and execute marketing plans to adapt to financial objectives, championing innovation to maintain market competitiveness
  • Cultivate a culture of excellence within your team, promoting learning, growth, and consistent achievement through effective leadership and mentorship
  • Relish the technical and regulatory complexities of travel insurance, transforming them into opportunities that keep us at the forefront of industry trends

What you can bring to our team: 

  • Demonstrable experience in Insurance (Travel is a bonus) or financial/professional services, is essential
  • Deep understanding of the impact of marketing regulations within the financial services space
  • Experience managing a P&L
  • A track record of success in leading marketing functions, delivering exceptional customer experience with demonstrable results
  • A data-driven approach to marketing strategy and execution
  • Adept digital skills, with hands-on experience in pioneering digital-first products and services
  • Exceptional communication abilities, capable of inspiring both your team and our wider business
  • A proactive and dynamic mindset, able to contribute innovative solutions and maintain team engagement
  • Strong interpersonal skills, building trust and collaborative relationships across the business and with external stakeholders
  • Insight into the travel insurance industry, with expertise in product development, market trends, and customer expectations is desirable
