Aker Carbon Capture is a leading carbon capture technology company. We serve a range of carbon-emitting industries including cement, blue hydrogen, bio/waste-to-energy, and gas-to-power among others. What will you be doing?

As a Study & Technical Manager, you hold primary responsibility for ensuring the technical completion of feasibility studies and pre-FEEDs. Your role is crucial in guiding these projects to successful technical outcomes while also supporting the commercial managers during technical discussions with early-stage customers. Your expertise and insights contribute significantly to shaping successful commercial strategies and engagements.

Your responsibilities

    • Lead customer feasibility studies and pre-FEEDs for ACC as a technical expert, ensuring correct implementation of technology.
    • Contribute to technology and product strategy in line with market needs and corporate goals.
    • Support the project development team and commercial teams with proposals, tenders, and PDP/licensing offerings.
    • Engage in customer/partner interactions and technical discussions based on deep knowledge of post-combustion carbon capture solutions.
    • Support with early-stage sales processes, identifying and developing potential opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Act as a liaison among various stakeholders within the commercial organization and across the company.

Your qualifications

    • College Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering. MBA advantageous.
    • 5 + years’ experience in process technology and chemical process systems.
    • Knowledge of thermodynamic systems including steam turbines, steam cycles, heating and cooling systems, gas turbines, heat pumps, etc.
    • Familiarity with carbon capture and storage technologies, particularly solvent-based post-combustion.
    • Proficiency in process modeling and process engineering is advantageous.
    • Hands-on experience in project management, including feasibility studies, pre-FEEDs, and FEEDs.
    • Skills in project planning, stakeholder management, resource management, budgeting, scope management, time management, risk management, quality assurance, communication, and reporting.
    • Experience in project execution is a plus.
    • Knowledge and understanding of technology and product development processes.
    • Strong and proven analytical skills and mindset.
    • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for clear understanding.
    • Ability to work in a dynamic team-based environment, demonstrating agility and adaptability.
